Habitat
Temperate Deciduous Forests
Most trainers are familiar with temperate broadleaf forests. with a temperate but seasonal climate and healthy tree growth, they host many common pokémon. many types can be found in these forests, but the plant, bug, flying and normal types are the most abundant. novice trainers would do well to start their adventures in these areas.

Tropical Jungles
Rainforests are warm and humid year-round with very frequent rainfall. they are densely vegetated with tall trees, vines, and other plants. a dense canopy of leaves covers a dark undergrowth in these forests. plant- and bug-type pokémon thrive in these prolific habitats, which have more pokémon and plant life per square meter than any other terrestrial biome.

Fields and Meadows
Open fields and grasslands are covered with lush grass and wildflowers. the almost total absence of trees gives these areas gentle breezes, open skies, and warm sunlight. with a mild climate and moderate rainfall, many normal and flying type pokémon can be found in these habitats. interestingly, the electric type also usually inhabit here, perhaps so as not to be obstructed by trees during thunderstorms.

Electromagnetically Active Areas
Unsurprisingly, electric-type pokémon love to congregate in areas with high levels of electrical activity. one might think primarily of human structures as power plants, but these pokémon are also attracted to natural magnetic points and lightning rods.

Volcanoes
At most of their altitude, volcanoes are similar to mountains in terms of the wildlife they support. however, near the craters of active volcanoes or in the magma pools within them, only pokémon capable of withstanding the scorching heat can survive. naturally, this means that fire-type ones thrive in these areas, although some rock-type and occasionally poison-type ones can also be found here.

Caves
Little or no light penetrates the dark, wet caverns. earth-, rock-, and steel-type pokémon, rich in minerals, are often found underground along with a variety of pokémon adapted to life in the dark. some dragon-type pokémon also prefer to hide deep in winding caves.

Mountains
This biome specifically refers to the steep, rocky mountain slopes, ideal for rock and steel-type pokémon; mountain forests and peaks usually host a different set of pokémon. these places are also remote and usually quiet, so wrestling-type pokémon often find refuge in them to train in peace.

Deserts
Sandy, arid deserts are home to many earth-type pokémon that can burrow to escape the heat of the sun. however, many other hardy pokémon species have also adapted to a life of scorching days and frigid nights. desert dwellers generally require very little water to survive or have some way to store it for long periods of time.

Ponds
Query length limit exceeded. max allowed query : 500 chars

Streams and Rivers
Fast-flowing freshwater streams and rivers are the natural home of several water-type pokémon, many of which also inhabit lakes (and often swim in and out of them via rivers). species that manage to live in these areas are usually adapted to swim against currents or resist them so as not to be swept away.

Beaches
The rocky and sandy beaches are home to many semi-aquatic pokémon that only spend part of their time at sea. the intertidal area also contains rocky ponds where some tougher water-type pokémon make their homes; the pokémon that inhabit here are adapted to withstand breaking waves and changing tides.

Open Ocean
The vast open ocean is home to many types of water-type marine pokémon. some float near the sea surface in sunlit waters, while others dive deeper into the pelagic zone. still others spend their lives resting on the seafloor and continental shelf. this habitat mainly refers to cold or temperate waters, excluding deep abysses, icy seas, and tropical reefs.

Polar Seas
Polar seas are a frigid habitat, often filled with icebergs and icebergs. parts of these areas are routinely completely frozen, trapping vast expanses of ocean water beneath the ice. the ice and water-type pokémon that inhabit these cold seas are adapted to withstand sub-zero temperatures and survive even when the waters freeze around them.

Swamps Bogs and Marshes
Although at first glance they may seem unattractive and gloomy, wetlands are some of the richest terrestrial habitats we know of. these environments are home to many plant, bug, water, and poison-type pokémon, which have developed ways to take advantage of the acidic, oxygen-poor soils that characterize these places.

Glaciers Mountain
This section includes the coldest regions of the world - frozen glaciers, snow-capped mountain peaks, and frozen caverns. these areas are permanently trapped in ice, preventing plant growth, so the life that survives here (mainly ice-type pokémon) has adapted to withstand freezing temperatures and food shortages.

Ruins and Cemeteries
Ruins and cemeteries are a peculiar habitat; they are associated with humans, but they are remnants of past activity rather than current events. the pokémon that inhabit here are usually linked to the supernatural, as if they could perceive something in their environment that science and humanity cannot.
